Many legislators at various levels of government have commented that actions that take up the time and physical resources of their staff — the phone constantly ringing or letters piling up on desks — have a greater impact that emails or social media posts. Additionally, a letter can be circulated by legislators as proof that constituents feel a certain way.

Bills are most likely to be revised or tossed out altogether while they are in committee, so that the point where our intervention has the biggest impact.
